Do you ever feel…
…isolated, without extended family in the area or in neighborhoods without other moms at home or just missing the camaraderie of the workplace?
…insignificant in a culture that minimizes your value and role as a mother?
…intimidated by information overload from parenting “experts?”
Do you want to be reminded…
…“I’m not the only one who feels this way.”
…“My job as a mom can never be replaced.”
…“God provides me with the relationships to make this job possible and joyful!”
Mom to Mom is a Biblically-based program designed around the concept of older moms teaching and encouraging younger moms in their relationships with their husbands and children. It’s a model that has stood the test of time. It includes quality instruction in parenting, small group discussion, and the interaction of more experienced mothers with younger moms.
Our group meets September-May every other Thursday morning, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. The meetings offer a variety of ways to get to know one another through table discussions, mom nights out, and Bible study. Our church provides our moms with great childcare for infant-K in FIRSTkids where children receive a Bible lesson and opportunity for center-guided play where all workers are background checked.
We always make space for moms in our Mom to Mom group. Our FIRSTkids childcare program, however, has limited space. If a child’s class becomes full, we will begin a wait list. As soon as space opens, the next child in line will be offered the spot. If you are a mom who does not need childcare, then we can assure you a spot in Mom to Mom!
Mom to Mom registration is $50 for the year or $25 per semester. First Baptist Church supports Mom to Mom in our budget, through the invaluable ministry of FIRSTkids, through members participating as Mentors, and through staff oversight. Church membership is not a requirement to join Mom to Mom.
