AWANA: Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15)

Why AWANA?  AWANA disciples children to discover God’s love for them and their identity in Christ.  AWANA guides children to place God’s Word in their hearts and equips parents to disciple their children at home.  Children also learn how and are inspired to reach out and share God’s Word with their friends.  92% of children who are discipled in AWANA for 6 years or more remain committed Church members as young adults!

AWANA has three groups:

Cubbies for children who are 3 and 4 years old (by 30 September) who meet from 5:15-6:45 pm.

Sparks who are in Kindergarten through 2d Grade who meet from 5-7 pm.

T&T (Truth & Training) for children in 3d through 6th grade, who meet from 5-7 pm.

What should parents expect?  Parents can expect children to have fun with friends playing games and activities while memorizing God’s Word and learning the truth of the Gospel.  Children get the most out of AWANA when they work on their verses with their parents at home during the week!  In AWANA, we seek to walk along side parents to assist in discipling their children! Our FBC leaders are background checked adults with teen helpers (Leaders in Training)

How do they join in?  Parents can register their children at FBC on Sunday night or right here, below.  Click here to go to AWANA on the church calendar. Looking for  the week-by-week schedule? We’ve got it here for you: AWANA Calendar – Spring 2019

To help our club operate, we ask for a donation of $25 per child (no more than $75 per family) for the entire academic year (September through May). This is truly a donation — please don’t let this prevent you from coming to AWANA. Just see Moe Lescault, Awana Commander or Nancy Ryalls, FIRSTkids director, privately, if this donation creates an issue.
